ICBC Active Rehabilitation

ICBC active rehabilitation services help those who have been involved in a motor vehicle accident restore movement function and enjoy occupational, recreational and sports activities again. This program usually begins around the time that you no longer require passive acute care treatments. The reason for starting the active rehabilitation near the end of the acute care treatment is that it aims to help you develop your own strategies to continuously minimize ongoing physical complaints or any barriers to your pre-accident activities. To achieve this goal, your Kinesiologist will deliver knowledge and exercise techniques needed for restoring fundamental movement functions and managing pain through one-on-one sessions. In addition, structured home exercise programs will be provided. The exercise programs will be tailored to your needs based on a careful assessment and discussion with you. Your Kinesiologist will also collaborate with your other medical professionals including physicians, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists to incorporate important clinical decisions into the rehabilitation program.

With a Doctor's referral, we can get partial funding and a direct bill to ICBC. Per part 7 coverages, ICBC funds minimum $50.00/session. There is an additional client fee of $30 ~ $45 + GST, payable at the time of each appointment which is often reimbursed as part of your settlement.
